I tried to use the Keyshot Light with Geospin tacky 2.0 and F3 2.0 for most of today. The blade is ok, probably one step down in speed from the Kong LingHui Special. I really don't like the tackiness of the rubber. In the pushing and flipping game it helped to get more spin, but on serve and looping I felt like the ball was sticking to the rubber and slowing down. I may need to try tacky in the future to help my short game, but I'm happy for now with the regular Geospin. On the backhand side, I felt better with the KL. I'm not sure if this was the newer rubber or that it was thicker. I'm going to put a new sheet of 2.0 before my next session. I've also been thinking of trying geopspin on my backhand too. The handle was also causing me problems. I started to feel some pain in my hand and forearm. I don't know if this would go away if I played with it more, but I'm not going to try.
I played a few singles matches. Nothing too interesting to report as I was handicapped a bit by the different racket. I beat Margit due to her switching back to inverted on her backhand. Lost to Greg because I was an idiot and forgot to adjust for the fact that his racket is pretty dead. And split two matches with Siggi. In the second match against Siggi I switched back to my normal racket and it felt much better, especially on the forehand side. I didn't make much progress on my things to work on list. As I spent most of the time trying to adjust to the keyshot. I've decided to stop EJ'ing and think that my current setup has plenty of room to grow into.
